An abattoir in Shanghai that has been reclaimed as an art house come shopping center. Before I even knew what it was my assistant was claiming it was a creepy place soaked in death - she was right. But I was captivated by the bizarre architecture. It was built in 1933 by a British architect. It would make a great location for a horror movie. It reminded me of M.C Escher.

gah! so busy, my eyes are constantly moving all over the photo, the angle really makes it all kind of disjointed from each other, which isnt necessarily a bad thing, I think it makes the image a lot more abstract, which is a wonderful thing in architecture. :) i like

did i mention that there are so many focal levels in the image, that it makes me keep searching for something else that I've missed in the image, it reminds me of escher, as well!
